What Are Confidential Sales Pins?
Confidential sales pins in DAS are a critical feature designed to protect sensitive sales data, particularly for Bankers using the Rural Platform. This feature ensures that company-proprietary information, such as custom sales known to your company ahead of the market, remains secure and is not disseminated until it becomes public.
How Confidential Sales Pins Work:
Restricted Access: Only users with appropriate permissions can view or use confidential sales data in reports.
Tooltip Notification: When a confidential sale pin is displayed on the map, iif hovered over whilst in report building mode the tooltip will read, "This sale is confidential and cannot be added to a "Type of Report" Report."
Visual Identification: Confidential sales pins are displayed differently on the map for easy recognition.
Applicable Pins: This affects both For Sale, Approved Pins and Sales Analysis Pins.
Exclusion: Unvetted Sales are never considered confidential. For Sale pins cannot be used in Property Reports, so they are unaffected by confidentiality settings restriction.
How to Set a Sale as Confidential:
Locate the Sale Pin:
Click on the map to select the desired property.
Or click on a Unvetted, Approved Sale or Sales Analysis Pin
Go to the "Sales" tab within the property information panel.
Edit the Sale:
Click the three-dot menu (•••) in the top right corner of the sale card.
Select "Edit."
Enable Confidentiality:
Tick the "Confidential Sale" checkbox.
Close the window by clicking the X in the top right corner
Key Points to Remember:
Confidential sales cannot be added to Reports.
Unvetted Sales are never confidential.
For Sale pins cannot be added to Reports and are not affected by confidentiality restriction but can still be marked as confidential.
Pin Visual distinction helps users easily identify confidential sales on the map.
Currently there is no way to utilise the sale pin filter to only show confidential sales or exclude confidential sales from the map. This could be subject to change going forward.
